Designed
as an informal place for learning and social interaction, the new
front entry springs forth to create a welcoming invitation to Ohio
University’s Lancaster campus. Telescoping steps and a soaring
glass tower define the port of arrival, while tiered lawns and extended
plazas create outdoor gathering areas. The dynamic interior space
is flooded with natural light while framing the views of the surrounding
landscape. The design masterfully infuses the existing with the
new into a single composition that conveys the sensation that it
has always been there. |
